Kiss Your Cousin
It's a family affair

One day many summers ago, these two artists happen to strike up a conversation in a Queen Anne coffee house near downtown Seattle. They hit it off almost immediately, both of them having outgoing personalities and a sharp sense of humor. Several weeks later, they discovered that they shared a common last name - Flowers. Were they distant cousins, separated by generations of family? Or was having the same name merely coincidence. They may never know the answer to that question. None-the-less, they decided to declare each other long-lost cousins and friends for life.

Their forthcoming album is the perfect combination of a trained female vocalist coupled with intelligent electronica. They often refer to their style as beautiful, angelic female vocals cooked in a heavy sauce of drum-beats and synthesizers, delicately seasoned with splashes of guitar and other organic instruments. Sound delicious? Just wait...

The first single, Wayfairing Stranger is an old song with a lot of inspiration. For the record, they've opted to release two different versions of it - a haunting piano based version that keeps with a somewhat traditional sound for the track, and the modern version - with swirling drumbeats and dancing synthesizers.

Both Dave and Michelle Flowers currently live in Seattle and continue to record music on a semi-weekly basis. When not recording, Michelle is an active actor and producer in local theater and film, having starred in everything from Shakespear to more modern works. Dave continues to record multiple projects at once in his recording studio and pursues photography in his spare time.
